Rox - The Yorkie

Hi I am Rox. I am a Yorkshire Terrier, born around August 2011, but I don’t think I am a pure breed. But who cares, I am super adorable.

I was born somewhere in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I really do not know much before my humans brought me home.

This was me when I came home. I am so cute.

Very soon, I found a place that I really loved, the sofa. It was my favourite spot in the whole house. And because I was an only child, it was all mine. I did not have to share with anybody. Little did I know what was coming into my future. . . .

We lived in an apartment in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Because of this, I needed to be potty trained. We had a very big balcony, but I really did not like going out onto it because it was so hot outside and a bit noisy. Mummy and daddy bought me a tray and set it up in my own bathroom. All, just for me and because I am a boy, mommy and daddy also bought me a special cone so I could learn to lift my leg. Ow wow. . . It was another place for me to sleep in. It took a while, but I got the hang of it. It was not a bed, it was my bathroom.

I remember one day; hahahaha, mommy was looking for me, but I had fallen asleep. She could not find me anywhere. I had fallen asleep between the pillows on the sofa. It so nice and cosy.

Daddy soon started calling me Master Chef because I tried to be involved in anything that was food related. I like to sleep, but food, well, I live and breathe for food. A few times a week, mommy would cook up some nice liver for me. I always had the advantage of laying on the counter to make sure everything was cooked to perfection. When daddy came home, he used to pick me and hold me high so I could see what was going on in the pots and pans. The smell of food still gets me all bouncy and barky.

The official policy of our apartment was that pets were not allowed…. I mean really now. Pets, I am not pets. I am half yorkie, half human. I have my own sofa, my own bathroom. But I suppose rules are rules, although we did break them all. During the day, I had to be so quiet and could never let the security guards see me. Mommy and daddy used to put me in a doggy bag and rush me to the car when we went out. I had adventures at the groomers, and especially enjoyed the park. There I could run around and have fun. Not that I could go anywhere too fast. I am tiny. But this one time we were at the park. I found this big stick. The stick was longer than I was. Everybody laughed at me.

And then after a few hours out, we would sneak back into the apartment, and this would happen. I mean, I am just a little boy with very little legs.

Mommy and daddy went out today. They told me they would be bringing me something nice. They always brought me something nice after leaving me home alone.

I wonder what it would be. I mean I have tried so many different types of food. They go out and always come home with a surprise. It is always food.

But wait. What? Why? Why would you do this to me. It is the 3 of us. I amuse myself. I own the sofa, the bed, the food bowl. All the food is mine.

A dog. You brought me a dog.

What is it ???? Will it eat my food ???? It is a what? A Schnauzer. What is that? It is so small. Really, can anything be smaller than me?
