Pixi - The White Schnauzer

Hello, my name is Pixi, I am a white miniature schnauzer. I was born sometime in February 2012. My mommy gave me the 14th of February as my birthday. She says it is a special day for her special little girl.

I have a big brother; but you have already heard about him. He is nice to me but walks around sniffing me all day. He does not like to play with me. Maybe it is because he is so much bigger than I am.

When daddy comes home, he always calls me his little ugly duckling. But it is okay because mommy says I am a beautiful girl and that I will grow into myself sooner than he thinks. No clue what they are going on about.

Well, I know I am new in this family, but I think that some things are so very unfair. When mommy and daddy go out, Rox gets to do whatever he wants, and I get sent to my play pen. I have my toys in it, but I still do not have the freedom that he has. So so very wrong.

Oh oh. . . . I think I may have gotten us into trouble. One day, Rox and I were home alone for a bit, and we heard this tap tap tapping noise coming from above us. We had no clue what the noise was, so I did what I do best; started barking my head off. Mommy says she has never ever heard any dog bark with such a high-pitched screech. Anyhow, nobody told me the rules, that we were to be quiet and that we were NOT supposed to be there. Oh well, now the apartment people know that two dogs live here. But this is a very good thing, because I, paw down, refuse to do my private business in a plastic tray like my big brother Rox does. Now mommy and daddy must take me outside onto the grass all the time.

But since this has happened, we have found out that there are other dogs in our complex and we have found some friends.

Super exciting day, I had my first grooming. Since mommy and daddy are still new to Malaysia and specially to having us babies here, they decided to use the grooming lady at the vet we go to. Mommy dropped us off and said we would be all clean and pretty when she fetched us.

What an adventure of a day. We got bathed, our nails clipped. All so pretty.

Hahahahahaha….. It seemed that was not all correct. When the nice lady was finished with us, she phoned mommy and daddy to fetch us.

Huh.. . . . Mommy, daddy, here I am. They walked right past me. Then she heard my bark and turned around. She stopped, stared and her mouth fell open. Mommy was shocked and daddy started laughing. Why, what went wrong. I smell nice, I look pretty.

But oh, did mommy complain and I mean all the way home. Apparently, the lady groomer did not know what a groomed schnauzer should look like. Instead of nice eyebrows and a perfectly cut beard, she had shaved it all off. . .

Oh well, it will grow back. Needless to say; for the remaining few years in Malaysia, we carried on using the vet, but never ever went back to the groomers.

Now we all go to a totally different place and these ladies really make us look so pretty.

A lazy sofa day. I love the sofas we have. When mommy stands ironing, it is time for me to lay all over the sofa. She says it is okay because that way it is easier for her to see where I am at all times

This is so weird. Over night Rox went from being my big brother to my older (only by 6 months) smaller brother. I am now bigger than him. I am a big girl.

But all good things must end. We are going to be packing all our toys, beds and blankets because we are moving. We are moving to a house and have a whole garden all around the house. I can run, play and bark till my head falls off.
